The Olympics are Coming: Events, free events & more

I would be remiss if I didn`t blog about the biggest event to hit the Westcoast and BC in spite of my personal concerns about the social and economic costs of this 10 day party. However, as a blogger and media freak, there is no way I can ignore this, so I will blog it, joining my sister & brother bloggers, bringing our own unique views and perspectives to the biggest circus to grace our shores and province.

I will also provide information for tourists and visitors, places to see, eat, have fun, how to get around and get the best out of your visit to Vancouver. For all of our challenges, I am very proud to have lived here for over 20 years and know that there really is no place like Vancouver and we are on the list of top livable cities for a reason. I`m going to spend the next month or so telling people why that is.

Where 2 be for Free - The Definitive Guide for Low-cost 2010 Games Fun

From the guys at Citycaucas.com

This guide provides a great overview of the various free events, special provincial and international houses and event sites. Each site is mapped as well, so people can see where to get to. Some sites don`t have their operating hours up yet.

For locals, or those arriving early, or staying later, some of the event sites are already open, or will remain open after the regular Olympics are over, so you may not have to go during the crowds.
